Nature Identity: The Good, Bad, Etc.

Exhibition Date

October 18 – December 18, 2025

Opening Reception

October 18, 2025

Nature Identity brings together a body of work that explores the shifting boundaries between the natural world, human presence, and technological transformation. Through printmaking, installation, drawing, and mixed media, the exhibition reexamines how identity is shaped not only by cultural and personal memory but also by ecological systems and engineered environments.

The works reflect on processes of adaptation, survival, and metamorphosis: paper frogs arranged in forest space become metaphors for repetition and ecological rhythm; biomechanical animals and hybrid figures express the tension between organic life and technological design; and portraits on glass and mirrors dissolve into trees, roots, and reflections—positioning the self as inseparable from its surroundings. References to pop culture and meme imagery expand these reflections into the realm of collective imagination, linking contemporary digital culture with ancient cycles of ritual and transformation.

Rather than presenting identity as fixed, Nature Identity frames it as porous, resilient, and continuously reshaped by the world around it. The exhibition invites viewers to consider how the boundaries between human, animal, machine, and landscape are negotiated—and how these negotiations will define the future we share.
