Interface of Two Worlds

This work portrays a hybrid figure—half scientist, half robot—standing between two blue portals that function as an entrance and an exit. Emerging from floating islands, the cross-shaped structures and divided central face highlight themes of duality, passage, and transformation. Influenced by Miyazaki’s atmospheric watercolor sketches and the expansive world-building of Korean webtoons, the composition merges fantasy architecture with speculative identity.
By positioning a hybrid body within a shifting system of thresholds, the piece reflects on how technological and human elements coexist, intersect, and continually reshape one another.
